One of the best perks about one of my jobs...getting to watch the sun set. If your looking for a good place to escape this crazy world I highly recommend The Great Plains Bunk House this place is incredibly peaceful with some amazing hospitality!!

The Great Plains Bunk House was the perfect getaway for our family vacation. The room we stayed in was very comfortable for our family of five, and had plenty of room to relax in as well. Lindsey and her family were attentive to all of our needs, and went above and beyond what we expected. We can't wait to come back and watch another panhandle sunrise and count the stars at night. Staying at the bunkhouse was a truly remarkable experience. We were on a road trip and this was the perfect place to stop and regroup, rest up and enjoy a good cup of coffee, an amazing sunrise and the wonderful hospitality of this place and it's gracious hosts. I look forward to our next trip!

Lindsey and her family made us feel very welcome. Lindsey kept in contact with us as we were on our way, and started a pot of coffee early. Her mother and two of her children came over to greet us later in the morning and told us all about the history of the bunkhouse and kitchen. The kitchen was extensive and included a small common area, all the basics, an ice cold pitcher of lemon water, a treat, lots of historical information, antiques, photographs of the family, a piano... around every corner there was something new to discover. We stayed in the Dust Bowl room, which included lots of antiques and memorabilia about local cowboys and the Oklahoma Dust Bowl. It was a very relaxing stay, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The Great Plains Bunk House

What can I say, this place is an incredible get away. We stayed in the bunk room and it comfortably slept my family of 8. The kids playground was so much fun for the teens and the littles. There is a community kitchen for preparing and storing your meals and several nice areas to sit and unwind/read a book. The little pond is so nice and tranquil, and there’s plenty of room for the kids to run around. We will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend if you are traveling through Oklahoma to NM or Colorado. The hosts were awesome!!! Jessica

We had the most amazing time at the bunkhouse!! What great people, we felt at home the minute we arrived! They had a great playground for the kids and toys.. our two little ones were in heaven!! Thank you for the music and great company and conversation! It meant the world to me and made me feel like I was home on the farm with my family :) Kelly

Great place to get away from everything! You will fall in love with this unique destination. It’s kind of like stepping back in time, with some modern conveniences.
